Art in Isolation - Art Sharing for Hermits

In April 2020, shortly after the national 'Lockdown' was imposed, Nick Barnes emailed the following invitation to our members:

"In these strange days of isolation, after yet again sweeping your cave and tidying your patch, you may share with me a nostalgic urge for cultural stimulation.  Modern technology ensures that, however widely scattered our caves may be, we can communicate instantly and access information on every subject under the sun but I feel the need for some direction and sharing.

"If you are missing the meetings of our friendly neighbourhood Society, I hope some of you may like to join in a simple exercise in cultural communication and sharing.  The idea is that you choose a work of art that you would like to share with other Arts Society members.  Add a brief indication of why the work has meaning for you.  Then email your selection to me.

"I will collect the results and share them with members.  I hope this will be of interest and perhaps stimulate some discussion."
